Lockheed Martin Space in Florida seeks a Mechanical Engineer Senior to lead the design, development and delivery of Class 3 and PPE ground support equipment for the FBM program. You will coordinate with internal teams and external customers, focus on modernization efforts and manage cost and schedule while ensuring technical integrity.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in a mechanical/industrial field, strong CAD/engineering tool experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Engineering Design Tools (CREO, CAD, EPDM, AutoCAD).
• Experience with Engineering Concepts (Requirements, Design, Analysis, Loads).
• This position requires the ability to research and support the team to identify issues and determine a solution path forward.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Desire and ability to own technical decisions.
• Ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and deliver Class 3 & PPE equipment interfacing with Class 1, Class 2, SME & STE equipment and facilities.
• Support Modernization and Sustainment scope and interface with internal and external customers.
• Manage cost model, review equipment complexity, provide impact assessments with PM & CPE.
• Travel to support vendor visits and customer facilities as required.
• Collaborate with FBM Hardware Leads to ensure requirements alignment and drive process improvements.
