Job summary

Apogee Engineering seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide senior-level support for facility architecture and engineering efforts, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical infrastructure at Wright Patterson AFB.

The role requires a Master’s in mechanical engineering, PE license, US citizenship, and TS/SCI clearance, with at least ten years of related experience; on-site work with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience with DoD or similar missions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems for facilities (HVAC, plumbing, etc).
• Develop specifications, drawings, and calculations for HVAC and fluid systems.
• Conduct trade studies and cost-benefit analyses for optimal solutions.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, and other disciplines for integrated designs.
• Support risk assessments and performance evaluations of mechanical systems.
• Prepare and present technical documentation and reports.
