Job summary

Calnetix Technologies, LLC in Southern California seeks a Mechanical Engineer with a hands-on technical background to join our design team and grow into a leadership role on high-performance energy solutions.

You will own projects from concept through production, apply GD&T, perform thermal and structural analyses, and collaborate with electronics packaging specialists to ensure manufacturability and reliability in aerospace/defense contexts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mechanical engineering with a hands-on design focus.
• Experience with thermal management, EMI-conscious packaging, and environmental sealing.
• Experience with PCB/PWA integration and high voltage packaging.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/5400 or RTCA DO-160 is preferred.
• Ability to perform structural and thermal simulations and hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and electronics packaging from concept through production release.
• Review designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with core engineering to explore new design areas.
• Provide technical oversight and risk mitigation planning.
• Generate design documentation and shop-floor inspections.
