TEN (The Efficiency Network) is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer to lead design and analysis of mechanical systems for energy efficiency and modernization projects in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. This full-time hybrid role involves developing concepts, performing load calculations, specifying equipment, and preparing drawings while coordinating some work from home with on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional licensure (PE) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, building codes, and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of mechanical systems for energy efficiency, building modernization, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop mechanical concepts, perform load calculations, specify equipment, and prepare detailed drawings and documentation; coordinate some work from home with regular on-site collaboration.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in mechanical design practices.
