Job summary

DataPath Inc. in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to perform diverse design, analysis, integration, and documentation for electronic, electromechanical, and optical equipment used in military, government, and commercial applications.

The role covers mechanical design, packaging, RCCA investigations, and lifecycle participation from concept through sustainment, with collaboration across electrical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical/electromechanical product development experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawing creation.
• Familiar with machining, sheet metal, welded assemblies and integration.
• Knowledge of RCCA methodologies and corrective action implementation.
• Understanding of ANSI, ASME, ISO, IEEE, MIL-STD standards.
• Experience with controlled engineering release and configuration management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, test, document and support hardware of moderate-to-high complexity.
• Develop mechanical and electromechanical products per requirements and standards.
• Perform enclosure design, packaging, cable routing, and thermal management.
• Support RCCA investigations, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and test documents.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, manufacturing, QA and supply chain.
