Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Liberty, MO distribution center.

You will join a team of mechanical and electrical engineers responsible for designing production and fulfillment equipment (electro-mechanical automation), with roles in implementation, start-up, troubleshooting, documentation, and training. The position involves self-guided and collaborative work with other teams and departments to deliver, install, and support completed machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Experience designing complex electro-mechanical automation equipment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA/ANSI standards related to machine guarding and safety.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of production and fulfillment equipment (electro-mechanical automation).
• Lead prototyping, troubleshooting, assembly, and evaluation.
• Create machine part and assembly drawings for fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
• Manage capital spending and collaborate with end-users, suppliers, and external partners.
