Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for on-site design and development of production and fulfillment equipment (electro‑mechanical automation) at our Liberty, MO facility.

You will be part of a team of mechanical and electrical engineers handling design, start-up, troubleshooting, documentation, and training. The role involves self-guided tasks, collaboration with the team, and departments receiving the machines, with a focus on delivering robust automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an engineering role to demonstrate mastery of the responsibilities outlined

Responsibilities

• Participate in and drive conceptualization of solutions, collaboration with peers, specification of performance, and integration within the operating environment.
• Create machine part and assembly drawings for fabrication, installation and maintenance of equipment.
• Lead prototyping, troubleshooting, assembly, and executional evaluation.
• Accountability for managing capital spending, designing systems, networking with end-users, partnering with external suppliers and consultants, sourcing parts and other components, adhering to aggressive schedules, and working closely with our technician team.
