Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Manchester, NH, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the New Product Development team. You will lead mechanical design and validation of electro-acoustic assemblies, intercoms, cable assemblies, and helmet-mounted military products.

Identify issues, define design direction, and plan tasks with a focus on DFM, DFA, and quality. Responsibilities include creating 3-D models and BOMs, coordinating testing with vendors, and presenting data to senior management.

Qualifications

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering design experience.
• Experience in electro-mechanical design is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of electro-acoustic assemblies and helmet-mounted products.
• Design, document and test new products and subsystems.
• Advance system capability on current and next-gen products.
• Create 3-D models, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and BOMs.
• Coordinate validation/testing with vendors.
• Present engineering data to senior management.
• Create test plans and engineering reports.
• Contribute to bids with design concepts and cost estimates.
• Transition products into high-volume production.
