Job summary

Flyby Robotics, based in Los Angeles, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the full product development cycle from concept to manufacturing. You will design for reliability in high-vibration environments and collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate systems.

You will lead design-for-manufacturability efforts, perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses, and help establish robust engineering processes. Significant ownership and impact are expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience designing, building, and shipping hardware products.
• Strong fundamentals: GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials selection, structural design.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical designs from concept through production.
• Lead efforts to improve reliability, environmental resilience, and system longevity in high‑vibration conditions.
• Design for manufacturing and work with manufacturing partners.
