Job summary

BRINC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end development of drones and electro-mechanical systems, owning design from concept through prototyping, testing and manufacturing handoff in safety-critical environments.

The role is hands-on, requiring FEA analysis, precision mechanism design, and collaboration with electrical, software, perception, controls and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, high-performance drones.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 8+ years’ experience.
• Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems and proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Experience with precision mechanisms, actuators, and motion control.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of critical electro-mechanical systems, from specification through prototyping, testing and manufacturing handoff.
• Make sound engineering decisions with ambiguous or incomplete information.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, perception, controls and manufacturing teams.
• Influence technical direction and communicate design decisions and tradeoffs to leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with Industrial Design to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
