Collins Aerospace is seeking experienced senior mechanical engineers to design, analyze, and integrate hardware for DoD and government communications systems. You will join an IPT with system, hardware and software engineering to advance circuit card assemblies, electronics assemblies, and reflector antennas for military programs.

Role requires DoD secret clearance, US citizenship, and active engagement with production, suppliers, and cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years experience
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, material selection, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship
• Experience with CAD tools and product data management tools; solving problems under aggressive timelines

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanical design, development, analysis and documentation of components and assemblies per system requirements
• Support production and suppliers during product integration and interface with the broader organization to develop design solutions
• Work with limited supervision to meet schedule, cost and technical goals
• Support reviews and participate in trade studies to inform decisions
• Apply knowledge in fast-paced hardware development and mentor junior engineers
