Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive design standardization and cost savings across products. You will work with electrical, optical, fluid, and process engineering teams to design and sustain diagnostics and life sciences instruments.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years (or MS with 3+ years), strong CAD (SOLIDWORKS) and GD&T, and the ability to work independently within cross-functional teams in an onsite

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years OR a Master’s degree with 3+ years or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including tolerance analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong CAD skills (SOLIDWORKS), GD&T, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively across electrical, optical, fluid, and process engineering fields to design and sustain diagnostics and life sciences instruments and technology.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems to achieve product specifications.
• Develop and maintain projects through product conception, definition, design, documentation, release to production, and sustainment.
• Create and present project financial, timeline and technical reports to peers and management.
