Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Designer to support the design and delivery of mechanical building systems for large-scale projects in St. Petersburg, FL.

You will design building systems, develop layouts and construction documents, and coordinate with electrical, plumbing, architectural, and construction teams. With 10+ years in the field and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, you will leverage strong Revit skills, mentor junior staff, and contribute to constructability

• Strong Revit proficiency required.

We are looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical Designers at both the mid and senior levels who want to work on large, complex building projects while collaborating directly with construction and field teams.

Job Details

As a Mechanical Engineer / Designer, you will support the design and delivery of mechanical building systems for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Design mechanical building systems for large-scale construction projects
• Develop layouts, calculations, drawings, and construction documents
• Utilize Revit throughout the design process
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, architectural, and construction teams
• Review designs for quality, accuracy, and constructability
• Work directly with clients and project stakeholders
• Participate in technical and construction coordination meetings
• Manage project responsibilities throughout design and construction
• Delegate responsibilities and mentor junior engineers and designers
• Support resolution of design and constructability issues during field execution

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Strong Revit proficiency
• Experience designing mechanical systems for buildings
• Experience with multifamily, high-rise residential, hospitality, commercial, healthcare, data center, or similar projects
• High-rise apartments, hotels, condos, or student housing experience is highly desirable
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
• Experience leading, mentoring, or delegating work
• PE License is a plus
• Stable employment history preferred
• Collaborative and growth-oriented mindset
