Allen & Shariff in Chicago is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Designer to lead design of HVAC systems for medium to large commercial projects. You will coordinate documents, produce full designs, write specifications, and support bid and construction phases. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, with a PE preferred and 10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical focus).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• AutoCAD and Revit proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform full design of HVAC systems for medium to large commercial projects.
• Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
• Coordinate all aspects of project document completion with clients.
• Produce full design in AutoCAD & Revit per architect preference; write specifications.
• Provide bid and construction phase support including RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.

A+S is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Designer to join our growing Chicago team.

Responsibilities

• Perform full design of HVAC systems, including full equipment selection, for medium to large commercial projects
• Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate
• Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within A+S and externally with clients
• Complete full design in accordance with code. Production is performed using AutoCAD & Revit depending on preference of architect
• Write specifications
• Provide bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, participating in project walk-throughs, and providing field observation reports
• Must be proficient in a variety of HVAC systems and shall be considered a technical expert and resource to the office
