Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Consulting Team in support of temple projects for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. The role spans concept through construction, applying building systems knowledge and collaborating with architecture, engineering, and client teams.

You will perform mechanical and plumbing design tasks, participate in cost/value engineering discussions, and contribute to delivering high-quality design packages for religious and cultural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) - Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Building Systems HVAC and/or Plumbing Design.
• Experience performing HVAC engineering calculations including heating/cooling load calculations, airflow/duct sizing and equipment selection.
• Experienced utilizing Revit for 3D design.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of building systems to meet owner program requirements and facility standards.
• Review codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Conduct design calculations and equipment selections for mechanical/plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with owner and construction management to validate costs and provide value engineering.
• Draft or oversee mechanical/plumbing drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
