Job summary

IS4S Orlando seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design components in CAD, build and test hardware, and improve real systems for DoD programs. You will work with engineers, technicians, and production staff across the full development lifecycle from concept through fielding.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in design and hands‑on prototyping, strong SolidWorks skills, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. On-site in Orlando with a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical design and hardware integration.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings and docs.
• Ability to work with a small, agile development team and pursue hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and assemblies in SolidWorks, and create technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Support prototype fabrication, integration activities, testing, and fielding.
• Collaborate with machinists, manufacturing engineers, and program managers to resolve complex issues.
