Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced mechanical engineering leader in Houston to drive design and technical direction for advanced cooling and HVAC systems in mission-critical facilities.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and collaborate with electrical, controls, and construction teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. PE is preferred, with broad EPC/design-build experience shaping a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
• Extensive experience designing complex mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical direction of advanced cooling and HVAC systems for mission-critical environments.
• Develop engineering standards, best practices, and scalable design approaches.
• Drive innovative solutions involving chilled water systems, air-cooled technologies, liquid cooling applications, and thermal management strategies.
• Partner with electrical, controls, and construction teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Optimize system performance, energy efficiency, and resiliency through design.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and guide project strategy.
• Evaluate equipment vendors and emerging technologies for best-in-class solutions.
• Lead design reviews, commissioning strategies, constructability assessments, and quality initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a world-class technical team.
• Support business development efforts for the growing practice.
