Manufacturing; MEP**Ownership:** 100% employee-owned (ESOP)**Travel:** Up to 20%**Work Schedule:** Full-time hybrid**Sponsorship:** Not available**What You'll Do****Technical Path*** Lead design efforts for the analysis and design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for moderate to complex projects.* Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools in line with code requirements and IMEG standards.* Perform site assessments and generate technical analyses and reports.* Partner with clients to gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong working relationships.* Review system designs, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence, and apply quality control processes to support standards compliance.* Provide technical training and mentoring, and assist with resolving field issues with limited support from senior staff.* Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.* Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and identify potential safety risks associated with mechanical systems.* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions and participate in project interviews and presentations.**Project Management Path*** Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects ranging in size and complexity.* Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposal generation, and contract reviews.* Create project schedules with milestone targets and deadlines, and serve as the point of contact for teams and clients.* Create monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages monthly.* Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards, and code requirements, and ensure milestone deliverables, quality control processes, and construction technical support stay on track.* Coordinate scheduling with design staff through all phases of design and construction, and schedule and lead progress meetings with documentation.* Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested.* Respond to and resolve client and construction concerns, and manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals.* Train, mentor, and motivate staff, and build, maintain, and develop client relationships.**What You'll Bring****Technical Path****Required for this track*** Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications* Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems* Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills**Project Management Path****Required for this track*** Demonstrated leadership traits in the project management career path; ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others* Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline* Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems* Strong training and mentoring skills**Required for Both Tracks*** Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required* Professional Engineer (PE) License required* 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry* Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise* Ability to sell work and develop client relationships* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
