Job summary

SNC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex mechanical projects in a collaborative, hybrid environment. You will mentor junior engineers, guide design and development, and perform advanced analyses to ensure optimal performance of aerospace and defense systems.

The role requires a strong background in CAD (CATIA/3DExperience), knowledge of MBSE practices, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance. Travel may be occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Master's or PhD preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with CAD software and advanced design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team on complex mechanical engineering projects.
• Provide expert guidance on design and development of mechanical systems.
• Perform analyses and simulations to ensure optimal performance.
• Mentor junior engineers on engineering practices.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.
