Senior Mechanical Engineer 2 (Power Uprates) - Nuclear

This position involves working on nuclear power uprate projects, focusing on systems, equipment, and plant processes to increase power output. Responsibilities include developing licensing basis evaluations, performing thermodynamics and heat transfer analyses, preparing calculations and reports, equipment sizing, and client interface.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in-office and two days remote weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry, with experience in power uprates or turbine retrofit projects.
• Knowledge in systems such as heat balance, power train pumps, heat exchangers, and plant hazards.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

Valued Skills

• MSME and PE license are preferred.
