Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the AEC/building design industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with healthcare, senior living, or other complex institutional facilities is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and other industry-standard mechanical design software.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical/HVAC design for healthcare, senior living, and related building projects from concept through construction.
• Develop HVAC system designs, calculations, equipment selections, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural, and other disciplines.
• Serve as a senior technical resource throughout design and construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, and calculations for technical accuracy, constructability, and code compliance.
• Work directly with clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and overall quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and travel to project sites as required.

A leading architecture, engineering, and design firm is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of healthcare and senior living projects across the country.

This position is ideal for a mechanical engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, collaborating with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams, and working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical/HVAC design for healthcare, senior living, and related building projects from concept through construction.
• Develop HVAC system designs, calculations, equipment selections, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural, and other disciplines.
• Serve as a senior technical resource throughout design and construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, and calculations for technical accuracy, constructability, and code compliance.
• Work directly with clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and design issue resolution.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and overall quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience within the AEC/building design industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong experience designing HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• Experience with healthcare, senior living, or other complex institutional facilities strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and other industry-standard mechanical design software.
• Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical, energy, and building codes.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel periodically for project needs.
