Fleetzero in Houston, Texas is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee the entire lifecycle of battery module products from concept to production. You will work hands-on, building prototypes and running experiments alongside design validation.
The ideal candidate has a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in product development. Proficient in Solidworks, you will carry out mechanical designs and collaborate with teams to ensure producible hardware.
Own mechanical R&D for Fleetzero battery modules: From a clean-sheet concept through production-ready design.
You will be the driving force behind the full mechanical development lifecycle of our battery module products. That means owning designs from initial concept and first-article prototypes, through development testing, design validation, and into high-volume manufacturing. You will work closely with electrical, manufacturing, and systems engineering counterparts to deliver robust, producible hardware on aggressive schedules.
This is a hands‑on role. You will be building and testing prototypes yourself, running experiments, and iterating quickly. If you are the type of engineer who is equally comfortable at a CAD workstation and a build bench, this role is for you.
