Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, test, and validate Battery Management and power sub-systems for autonomous vehicles. You will contribute to vehicle-level integration from concept through production and define wiring harnesses for complex electronic systems.

The role requires a strong background in board design, sensor integration, and experience with CAN/I2C/SPI interfaces, using Altium or similar CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
• Experience with sensor integration across automotive, marine, or USV platforms.
• Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI interfaces.
• Proficiency with electronic CAD tools such as Altium (Eagle acceptable).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, test, and validation of Battery Management and Power Sub-Systems (BMS) for our autonomous vehicles.
• Vehicle-level integrations and complete lifecycle design from concept through production, including requirements generation.
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Build up and test of engine system components through lab, ground, and on-water tests
• Root cause analysis in support of field operations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
• Strong background in harness design, EE requirements generation, circuit design, including components, and mixed-signals design.
• Experience with sensor integration.
• Design experience in USVs, automotives, power electronics, or sensor suite/perception systems.
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
• Comfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable)
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Performed environmental testing in previous positions for military, automotive, and/or commercial industry.
• Previous experience working on BMS.
• Experience in EMI testing.
• Knowledge and test execution per MIL-STD-810 and/or MIL-STD-461

Per Anduril's expansion plans, we anticipate this job will be based out of Long Beach, CA beginning late 2027.

US Salary Range

$146,000 — $194,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
