Toyon Research Corporation seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to lead the development of electro-mechanical space systems from concept through testing and delivery. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to define project objectives and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a 8+ year background in designing mechanisms for extreme environments, a US citizenship with eligibility for a Top Secret clearance, and proficiency in parametric CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Creo.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience designing mechanisms for extreme environments.
• Must be a US citizen eligible for a Top Secret security clearance and proficient in parametric CAD software.
• Experience with aerospace-grade standards and MIL specifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of electro-mechanical space systems from initial design through testing and delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define project objectives and mentor associate engineers.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5, AS9100 and ISO 9001 in all design activities.
