  • Perform structural finite element analysis or other relevant analyses.
  • Define tests, diagnose failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and iterate rapidly to working hardware.
  • Present design tradeoffs, technical risks, decisions, and project status directly to client stakeholders.
  • Use structured quality and problem‑solving methods to improve manufacturing performance and reduce field and safety risk.
  • Coordinate mechanical interfaces with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Manage and update part and assembly drawings and Bills of Materials.
  • Respond to evolving client needs over a long‑term engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Proficient knowledge of ANSYS (highly preferred) or FEA software.
  • Proficient knowledge of SolidWorks (highly preferred) or equivalent CAD package.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing processes and high-volume production methods – injection molding, casting, sheet metal, machining, etc.
  • Experience developing custom actuator or drivetrain solutions, ideally with external vendors.
  • Strong GD&T (ASME Y14.5), tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA
  • Hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis experience.
  • Experience having technical discussions with clients or demanding external stakeholders while remaining a hands‑on individual contributor.
