Alpha Tech Research Corp in Utah seeks a highly motivated mechanical engineer to design and optimize high-temperature systems, with emphasis on CAD design, ASME codes, and fabrication methods. You will lead the ECM of process equipment, coordinate with vendors, and support production on the floor, contributing to a stable, long-term full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-temperature equipment and design.
• CSWE or proven competency in CAD.
• Familiarity with applicable ASME codes.
• Demonstrated expertise in fabrication.
• Ability to work with fabricators on manufacturability.
• Experience in ASME code and ECM.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred: nuclear, aerospace, defense or other regulated industries; hazardous chemicals/lab settings; PE/FE preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a multidisciplinary team to design, operate, and optimize a high temperature molten salt production process.
• Lead ECM of the process equipment.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to procure process equipment.
• Assist on the production floor as needed.

Qualifications:

• Required
  • Experience with high temperature equipment and design
  • CSWE or proven competency in CAD
  • Familiarity with applicable ASME codes
  • Demonstrated expertise in fabrication
  • Ability to work with fabricators on manufacturability
  • Experience in ASME code and ECM
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
• Preferred
  • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience with hazardous chemicals and laboratory settings
  • PE license or FE certification highly preferred
