Aimic Inc is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer-in-Training for a hybrid role based in San Francisco. This position involves design, drafting, and engineering responsibilities, ensuring compliance with California technical standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, EIT certification, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills alongside excellent communication.
Role DescriptionWe are looking to fill several positions in the design, drafting, and engineering areas. Our positions offer a comprehensive benefit package including (i) 6 paid holidays, (ii) sick and vacation pay, and (iii) medical, dental, vision, LTD, and life insurance premiums paid at 100% (employee only). Our office is presently virtual; we will be obtaining a brick-and-mortar office, but our physical location is yet to be determined. The positions will be hybrid.MECHANICAL DESIGNER / ENGINEER-IN-TRAININGRequired : Experience in : AutoCad;EnergyPro and other load calculation software;Standard office software (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, etc.)Must possess knowledge of : California Building Codes;Energy Code documentation;Producing project specifications;Construction support processes;Project phase and deliverable requirements;Design / drafting standards, checking process, practices, and techniques;Office procedures including electronic filing systems, check lists, writing, and presentation.Engineering in Training (EIT) certificationExcellent communication skillsExcellent work ethicDetail-oriented habits.Preferred : Experience with RevitKnowledge of building department requirements and processes.Techniques regarding how business works as it pertains to project budgets and professional liability.Business development as it pertains to the acquisition and retention of Clients and enrichment of List Engineering.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringAbility to read and understand designs and schematicsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
