Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to support our Data Center projects in the U.S. You will develop mechanical system designs, create Revit/BIM models, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities include layout of HVAC and hydronic systems, design criteria development, and model coordination (NavisWorks/Revizto). Experience with data centers and ASHRAE standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Design or related field.
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM modeling for mechanical systems.
• Experience with HVAC and hydronic systems construction documents.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop Revit/BIM models and documents for mechanical systems on data center projects.
• Support HVAC and hydronic system layout and design.
• Assist in development of design criteria and basis of design documentation.
• Prepare conceptual and preliminary designs with flow diagrams.
• Perform ductwork and piping layout based on loads and equipment.
• Produce detailed construction documents (plans, sections, details).
• Coordinate with electrical/structural/architectural teams.
• Participate in model coordination and clash detection (NavisWorks/Revizto).
• Support design reviews and quality control processes.
• Mentor and guide junior designers.
