Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Carrollton, TX seeks a skilled Mechanical Design professional to design, model, and draft assemblies for manufacturing. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design, proficiency with AutoCAD and CAD tools, and a strong eye for detail in machined and sheet metal parts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in drafting or engineering technology.
• 5-7 years of practical mechanical design experience in fabrication/manufacturing.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD design/drafting experience.
• Experience designing mechanical systems and components with GD&T.
• Experience with machined and sheet metal parts; Solid CAD modeling required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for manufacturing and assembly.
• Apply GD&T and ensure drawings meet standards and specs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering and production.
