Job summary

Stellant Systems in Melville, NY is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create detailed drawings and schematics for complex assemblies. You will use CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor to translate engineering specifications into precise, producible designs on a 100% onsite basis.

You will revise designs based on feedback, support cost and production estimates, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 6+ years of drafting experience; 4+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor; Siemens PADS and CAM 350 a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and schematics from specifications provided by engineering.
• Use CAD software to produce accurate and precise drawings.
• Revise drawings based on engineering and manufacturing feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with military, commercial, and international standards.
• Assist in cost and direct labor estimates as required.
• Develop and maintain drafting standards and procedures.
