Job summary

SMS group Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to perform routine and complex CAD drafting assignments using standardized drawing techniques.

You will produce engineering documents, including technical drawings and 3D CAD models, in alignment with general and company standards. The role involves working in teams with other designers and engineers, interfacing with colleagues inside and outside the engineering group, and adhering to engineering policies and security measures to ensure consistent

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus formal CAD Design training.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Mechanical Designer.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of design and drafting principles and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient with 3D and 2D engineering software.
• Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Produces engineering documents, e.g. technical drawings, 3D CAD models, according to standards.
• Works in teams with other designers and engineers.
• Interfands with individuals within or outside the engineering team.
• Adheres to engineering policies, standards, and security measures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
