Job summary

A tech company pioneering wireless communication is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and validate mechanical systems for Wireless Optical Communication terminals. The role requires a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, expertise in 3D CAD software, and 6-10 years of relevant experience. You will work on delivering mechanical foundations and driving reliability testing in a hybrid work environment in Sunnyvale. Salary for this role ranges from $160,000-$210,000 plus bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with ≥ 10 years of relevant work experience or MS degree with ≥ 6 years.
• Expertise in one of the mainstream 3D mechanical engineering CAD/Simulation software programs.
• Ability to work in the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the mechanical foundation for wireless optical communication technology.
• Drive reliability and quality testing for outdoor equipment.
• Provide input to the manufacturing team for production ramp-up.

Skills

Expertise in 3D mechanical engineering CAD/Simulation software

Finite-element analysis expertise

Hands-on practical experience with CNC and soldering
