Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Brecksville, OH, is seeking a Section 1 Steam, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and analyze moderately complex mechanical systems and prototypes. You will conduct feasibility studies, lead testing, and prepare detailed technical documentation to establish sustainable records.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) and 7–10 years of relevant experience, with expertise in DOE, Minitab, DPS, and CFD/FEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• DOE, statistical analysis (Minitab), DPS, and 3-D CAD.
• CFD/FEA experience; VOC.
• Ability to create and iterate designs and perform design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing and create new products to meet customer needs and industry standards; develop test protocols and oversee lab testing.
• Design and conduct experiments; collect data; interpret results; write analysis and test reports.
• Investigate and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
• Secure IP rights through documentation and disclosures.
• Ensure marketing materials accurately reflect product capabilities.
