Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design and analysis of Solid Rocket Motor components within an IPT. You will create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs in Creo/Windchill and guide fabrication to meet performance, cost, and schedule goals.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience, proficiency in CAD tools (Creo preferred), and GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in CAD tools; CREO preferred.
• GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
• DoD Secret Clearance eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities in Creo; generate 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Coordinate fabrication with machine shops and external suppliers.
• Develop and execute mechanical DVT for energetics and live ordnance hardware.
• Maintain configuration control and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support IPT meetings with status updates and technical insights.
