Vast Space LLC in Long Beach is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing vehicle structures from inception to manufacturing release. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and over 5 years of relevant CAD/Design experience.

This full-time position plays a critical role in the development of next-generation space stations, contributing to the future of space exploration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant CAD/Design experience or equivalent.
• Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41.
• Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design vehicle structures from conceptual phase through product release.
• Define and manage interfaces between vehicle subsystems.
• Develop design process improvement via simplification or automation.
• Provide technical assistance to integration and testing activities.
