Job summary

Buyers Products Company in Mentor, OH seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and design products from concept through production, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to translate customer needs into high-quality engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, at least five years designing for manufacturing with a focus on sheet metal, and proficiency in PTC Creo to deliver robust, manufacturable designs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 5 years of design experience with emphasis on sheet metal.
• Solid modeling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design products from concept to production – collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Design mechanical assemblies, weldments, castings, forgings, plastic and sheetmetal components using PTC Creo.
• Provide engineering support for existing products at the manufacturing facility.
• Develop and implement product and process improvements.
• Assessing a design brief to gauge the design requirements.
