Job summary

Intralox, based in New Orleans, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the New Product Development Team to improve existing products and create new solutions. You will lead from concept to production, applying advanced mechanics and materials science to meet customer performance needs.

The role focuses on end‑to‑end product development, cross‑functional collaboration, and patent collaboration. A BS in mechanical engineering and 7+ years in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Recent professional experience in Solid Modeling (SolidWorks, Pro-E, Inventor, or similar).
• 7+ years engineering experience (preferred in Product Development, Machine Design, Test Equipment Design, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical components and systems using physics, mechanics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, vibration, acoustics, and material science.
• Own the full new product development process from problem definition to product release, including VOC studies, requirements, scope, specs, concept brainstorms, design reviews, prototypes, testing, field feedback, refinement, production, and integration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product launches and work with patent counsel to file patents for new concepts.
