Job summary

Parametric Solutions Inc. (PSI) is seeking a Senior Aerospace Design Engineer in Jupiter, FL to design, analyze, and test components for gas turbine engines.

You will lead design execution, perform rigorous analysis, and mentor junior engineers on a variety of programs. Ideal candidates have a mechanical or aerospace background with 5+ years in aerospace engineering and strong experience in ANSYS, NASTRAN, Fluent/CFX, NX, CATIA or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering services or aerospace field.
• Experience with core engineering software (ANSYS, NASTRAN, Fluent/CFX, NX, Catia or SolidWorks).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Execution: Create, analyze, and review complex design sketches, layouts, schematics, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings.
• Conduct Rigorous Analysis: Develop hand calculations and finite element models to determine temperatures, stresses, deflections, flows, and pressures.
• Manage Project Metrics: Interface closely with customers to define objectives, ensuring deliverables meet schedule and budget requirements.
• Mentor Talent: Teach, supervise, and collaborate with less experienced engineers to foster growth and teamwork.
• Material & Spec Selection: Select raw materials and COTS hardware, defining exact specifications for aerospace products.

Position Overview

Parametric Solutions Inc. (PSI) is seeking a Senior Aerospace Design Engineer to join our team in Jupiter, FL. In this role, you will design, analyze, and test complex components for military, commercial, and industrial gas turbine engines.

As a senior member of our engineering team, you will not only drive technical execution but also interface directly with customers and mentor junior engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Design Execution: Create, analyze, and review complex design sketches, layouts, schematics, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings.
• Conduct Rigorous Analysis: Develop hand calculations and finite element models (FEA) to determine temperatures, stresses, deflections, flows, and pressures.
• Manage Project Metrics: Interface closely with customers to define objectives, ensuring all deliverables perform to strict schedule and budget requirements.
• Mentor Talent: Teach, oversee, and collaborate with less experienced engineers to foster technical growth and team cohesion.
• Material & Spec Selection: Select raw materials and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, defining exact specifications for aerospace products.

Requirements (Education & Experience)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in an engineering services environment or a closely related aerospace field.
• Software Proficiency: 5+ years of hands-on experience using core engineering software (such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, Fluent, CFX, NX, Catia, or SolidWorks).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Tools: High proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for technical reporting and client presentations.
