Job summary

Haemonetics Corp. seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead the design and development of disposable device components for an in-vitro diagnostic platform.

You will own plastic part design, injection molding components, and design transfer for high-volume manufacturing, coordinating with suppliers and contract manufacturers in a regulated medical device environment. The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills, experience with design controls, risk management, and verification planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• 5+ years in medical device or regulated product development.
• Proficiency in mechanical component design, injection molding, CAD, drawings, verification, and design transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of disposable device components from concept to production.
• Design plastic parts for high-volume manufacturing and injection molding.
• Collaborate with suppliers, tooling vendors, and contract manufacturers for part qualification and transfer.
• Own sustaining activities and lead design changes for manufacturing issues.
• Develop and execute verification strategies, tests, and reports per design requirements.
• Create and maintain design control documents and regulatory inputs.
