Job summary

RQ Construction LLC in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical and plumbing design across regions, ensuring all work meets DoD and military standards for surveying, planning and RFP design.

Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC/plumbing), P.E., 10+ years in HVAC/plumbing design in consulting, BIM skills (Revit/AutoCAD). LEED AP and DoD project experience preferred. Hybrid schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC/plumbing focus.
• P.E. license required.
• 10+ years HVAC/plumbing design experience in a consulting firm.
• LEED AP preferred.
• Experience with ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1 and 55.
• California Title 24 Energy Code familiarity.
• BIM proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Sustainable design experience; design-build exposure desirable.
• Government/DOD project experience preferred.
