Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer for the Hot Section Engineering team at the Oklahoma City Campus. You will work on engine systems, preferably with turbine/nozzle experience, collaborating across IPTs to deliver robust solutions.

Lead rotor design initiatives and support rotor-related issues while coordinating with project management, structure analysis, and aero-thermal teams. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5 years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree and 3 with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex mechanical engineering issues with limited supervision.
• Facilitate outsourcing through technical reviews to maintain quality.
• Build trust with internal and external customers by delivering sound solutions.
• Partner with Customer Technical Support to address inquiries and perform root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering Support to address production and sustainment challenges.
• Drive engineering changes that align with schedules and meet KPIs.
