Job summary

Lead complete design projects from concept through manufacturing, collaborate with machining and fabrication, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations while delivering high-quality, reliable equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in equipment manufacturing.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including active listening.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SolidWorks; data-entry skills.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design a complete project, system, component, or piece of custom equipment from concept to manufacturing and assembly.
• Reverse engineer parts or develop replacement parts for existing or new equipment.
• Manage inventory and availability of purchased parts and raw materials.
• Research, design, evaluate, assemble, and test equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor design projects from concept to manufacturing completion.
• Create SolidWorks drawings, models, and assemblies for fabrication and production.
• Write technical manuals, parts lists, exploded views, and assembly directions.
• Present designs for review and sign-off with peers and Stone personnel.
• Collaborate with machining, fabrication, and assembly teams for troubleshooting and innovation.
• Evaluate equipment and processes for compliance with food safety regulations.
