Elma Electronic is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Mechanical Design in Lawrenceville, GA to lead the design and development of complex electromechanical systems, enclosures, and packaging solutions from concept through production release.

You will create 3D CAD models, perform design analyses, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable products that meet strict performance and quality requirements.

Competenze

• 8-10+ years of progressive mechanical design engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing complex electromechanical systems, enclosures, chassis, and sheet metal assemblies.
• Advanced proficiency with Creo and Direct Modeling; Windchill PLM knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, machining, fabrication, assembly, and DFM principles.
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept through production release.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.

• Lead mechanical design and development from concept through production.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Develop sheet metal, enclosure, chassis, and mechanical packaging solutions.
• Perform tolerance analyses, DFM assessments, and other design analyses.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical direction across teams.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and project management.
• Interface with customers to review requirements and present concepts.
• Support prototyping, testing, root-cause investigations, and production troubleshooting.
• Manage engineering releases, ECOs, and documentation updates.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement of practices.
