Job summary

OK International is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to research, plan and design mechanical and electromechanical products at our Cypress, CA site. You will own components from concept to production, with emphasis on mechanism design, pneumatics, motion control, thermal management and ergonomic considerations.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in electro/mechanical design, strong SolidWorks skills, and proficiency in design verification and production release processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in electro/mechanical assemblies design.
• Intermediate knowledge of ergonomics and Industrial design.
• Power supply packaging including thermal management.
• Familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Project skills: plan, coordinate and complete projects on time and within budget.
• Leadership: inspires and guides peers and team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate experience with design, manufacturing, document processing and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical engineering design of components in electro-mechanical systems from concept through production.
• Proficient in metal and plastic design, pneumatics, thermal management, material selection and design verification testing.
• Create detailed design of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Create fabrication drawings for release to manufacturing.
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design using SolidWorks.
• Perform product development activities to improve performance and add features.
• Lead engineering personnel in fabrication of prototypes and testing methods.
