Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design concept exploration, trade studies, down-selection, prototyping, and testing.

• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies across programs.

Job description

• Perform mechanical design concept exploration, trade study analysis, down-selection, prototyping, and testing
• Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction
• Contribute to requirements development and propose ways forward
• Plan and execute complex electro-mechanical designs from ideation through hardware fabrication and testing
• Conduct trade studies, concept down-selection, and detailed design
• Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide constructive feedback
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field required
• Master's degree preferred
• 5-10 years in mechanical engineering or full cycle of mechanical design experience
• Applicants selected must obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• Secret Clearance required
• Top Secret clearance preferred
