Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior design engineer for HVAC, fire protection and plumbing systems. You will provide conceptual design, calculations, drawings and specifications for projects and lead design discussions with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• PE License required
• 8+ years of experience, including lead experience
• Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.
• Ability to read complex mechanical and plumbing plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
• Strong public speaking/presentation skills
• Microsoft Office Products, including as Excel
