Job summary

Autonomai Recruitment seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an elite team designing high-performance computing hardware. You will own designs from concept through production, collaborating across CAD, prototyping, thermal design and manufacturing with electrical, firmware and infrastructure engineers.

In this role you will tackle unique engineering challenges daily, focusing on advancing mechanical systems, enclosures, thermal management and manufacturability for bespoke

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of mechanical product design experience.
• Experience from concept through production.
• Experience with thermal management and electronics cooling.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Experience performing structural or thermal analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for custom high-performance computing platforms.
• Develop detailed CAD models, production drawings and complex assemblies.
• Design enclosures, fixtures and electromechanical hardware.
• Perform thermal, structural and mechanical analysis.
• Prototype, test and validate hardware designs.
• Improve manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of hardware systems.
• Develop tooling, fixtures and manufacturing test equipment.
• Work closely with contract manufacturers and external vendors.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration and production.

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop innovative mechanical systems supporting high-performance computing and custom hardware platforms. You'll own designs from concept through production, working across CAD, prototyping, thermal design and manufacturing while collaborating closely with electrical, firmware and infrastructure engineers.
