Senior Mechanical Construction Project Manager – Battery Manufacturing

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager with HVAC expertise to lead the mechanical aspects of transforming an existing factory into a state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facility for a high-profile client. The role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource management.
2. Serving as the primary client contact to ensure clear communication and goal alignment.
3. Managing and mentoring engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
4. Overseeing all mechanical engineering facets, including HVAC design, installation, and commissioning.
5. Leading mechanical efforts specific to battery retrofit projects, ensuring system integration with existing infrastructure.
6. Innovating solutions for retrofitting facilities for battery manufacturing.
7. Identifying risks and devising mitigation strategies.
8. Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
9. Monitoring project expenses and maintaining budget adherence.
10. Providing updates to senior management and clients.
11. Managing contracts, negotiations, and change orders with subcontractors and suppliers.
12. Ensuring safety protocols are followed on-site.
13. Adhering to SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in mechanical project management, HVAC, and large-scale construction.
• Experience with battery retrofit projects and system integration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical engineering principles.
• Certification such as PMP is preferred.
• Fluency in Korean is advantageous.

Compensation: The salary range is $140K-$160K per year, based on experience and qualifications. This is a base salary estimate; total compensation may vary.
