Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Senior Project Manager for major mechanical construction projects in Colorado. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Masters or college/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects.
• Initiate, review and oversee project administration and documentation to avoid claims and protect RK Mechanical and client interests.
• Ensure contract agreements are secured, reviewed, processed and executed.
• Review, edit, finalize and distribute project budget.
• Conduct pre-construction turnover meetings for all assigned projects.
• Ensure permits and/or licenses are obtained and posted.
• Initiate setup, monitoring and updating of project scheduling.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with purchasing, focusing on buyout to meet schedule and budget.
• Negotiate, prepare, process and execute subcontract agreements.
• Ensure submittal review, processing and approvals, and logs are set-up and maintained.
• Develop, submit and obtain approval of billing schedule of values.
• Maintain cash position, request retention releases, and process billings.
• Collect payments and progress billings by due dates.
• Price, negotiate and process change orders.
• Ensure staffing aligns with labor resources and productivity for projects.
• Oversee tools and rental equipment usage and returns.
• Responsible for overall financial performance, ongoing cost control, management and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly contract valuations and approve subcontractor invoices.
• Attend project management meetings and lead regular staff meetings.
