Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to oversee all mechanical scopes of work on projects in Farmington, NM, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

The role requires extensive field leadership across piping, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems, with strong knowledge of codes and field coordination. Travel to project locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in mechanical construction with supervisory experience.
• Strong reading of drawings, specs, and shop drawings.
• Proven ability to lead field crews, manage crews, and mentor apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily mechanical field operations and coordinate with other trades.
• Promote safety culture with daily huddles and job hazard analyses; manage punch lists and quality checks.
• Develop and maintain short-interval look-ahead schedules; track progress vs. budget.
